News2_1.jpg

Greetings Titan Family,

Today, our very own CDHS Culinary Arts program was highlighted by Channel 2 Action News for their service to the community. Our Titan Scholars, under the teachings of Chef Margaret June and Chef Poole, were requested by Hearts to Nourish Hope to prepare hot meals for community members during this wintery season. Hearts to Nourish, a non profit dedicated to youth and young adults, has been serving both Clayton and Gwinnett County for over 25 years.

Please tune in this evening to Channel 2 Action News to see our very own CDHS Titans be "Titan Tough"!

CDHS FOR THE WIN!

2024 PBIS RAP BATTLE!

 Here's a Recap

Clayton County Public Schools is proud to share that Ms. Candence Jones, 12th grade English Teacher at Charles R. Drew High School, is a finalist for the High 5 For Teacher recognition created by Montlick & Associates and with Fox 5 Atlanta to recognize exceptional teachers within our communities!

The program invites viewers to nominate deserving high school teachers and share what makes these teachers exceptional. Five finalists are then selected by Fox 5's Good Day Atlanta producers to be recognized and featured in a special segment on Good Day Atlanta. Each finalist will receive $500 from Montlick & Associates. Once all High 5 for Teachers finalists have been recognized, the public votes to determine which teacher is the grand prize winner. Montlick & Associates will donate $2,500 to the winning teacher's school.

Online voting begins Monday, April 22, 2024, at 6:00 a.m. and ends on Friday, April 26, 2024, at noon. Once voting is complete, Fox 5 will announce the teacher with the most votes and that person will win $2500 for their school from Montlick Injury Attorneys — plus Fox 5 will come back to that school to present the check! Let's wish Coach Jones the best of luck and congratulations for making it this far in the contest!
