Students & Parents
The Department of Student Behavioral Health & Well-Being is excited to host our 2nd Annual Youth Summit at Elite Scholars Academy on Friday, March 15, 2024. We seek your support to ensure that all our 3rd - 12th-grade students can experience this free event full of breakout sessions, interactive workshops, games, music, food, prizes, and so much more!
We would like to offer free bus shuttle sites to and from this event at four locations throughout the district. Please partner with us as a shuttle site for this event. We will shower your staff with donuts in return.
What do we need?
School bookkeeper will work with Autumn Brown to enter a field trip request form. The chaperones will be provided by the SBHW department and will be 2 per bus. We are maximizing the capacity of each bus at 25. If any school has more than 25 students we will supply chaperones for an additional bus.
A safety and security officer will be circulating at each stop
The school does not need to be open, SBHW staff will hold a yard sign and parents will need to wait for the bus prior to leaving the stop
SBHW staff and SRO will await all students to be picked up
SBHW department is funding the bus
There is additional information about this event below for you to gain more insight into the purpose of this event and additional incentives that we are offering district-wide.
We look forward to hearing from you!
The purpose of the Youth Summit is to provide training for the SPARK Student Champions to serve as the mental health and well-being ambassadors for their schools. The Summit will also provide an opportunity for all youth in CCPS to gain access to resources for well-being. The Student Champions will leave the Summit with a toolkit that will be used with the support of the School Champion to promote well-being on all campuses at all levels.
